Hi, everybody!

I have some cool news to announce...but first, please welcome our newest members: ~YuaLEttOri , ~XMireille-chanX , ~FJLink , ~tetsuyayoshimoto , ~Itchy-chan , and *Asrah ! It's nice to see that Edgeworth still has a steady stream of fans joining the club. He's awesome like that...LOL.

We also have a new affiliate: ~CrAzEd-Attorneys ! Thank you for affiliating with us!

Okay, on to the neat news.

The Edgeworth game, which is now officially called "Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth" (Does that hint that Phoenix will get a game of his own to investigate in? Only time will tell...), has gotten a preview in Game Informer magazine as of today. I know this because my sister subscribes to the magazine, and it just arrived.

Anyway, while the preview doesn't show much that we didn't already know from the previews around the internet, it does tell us the English title and shows that Capcom is getting this thing out a lot sooner than I expected. I think they're aiming to release the Japanese version and the English version at the same time.

I can't wait for this game...!

Also in the news of "Edgeworth merchandise" is the Edgeworth-centered doujinshi anthology, "Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: The Miles Edgeworth Files", which has now been released and is available at Amazon.com for 10.19 USD at the moment. It's also at Barnes & Noble.

I hope that the new game and Edgeworth-centered doujinshi will prompt more people to create fanworks for him again.

Fun Facts about Edgeworth:

Apparently, Edgeworth is not just a fun, mauve-wearing prosecutor with nice hair...no, my fellow fans, Edgeworth is also the name of a certain kind of box drawn to calculate microeconomic mathematical equations! (Everybody with me, now: !! )

As quoted directly from the wikipedia entry (which can be read here, should you wish to: [link] ) , "In economics, an Edgeworth box, named after Francis Ysidro Edgeworth, is a way of representing various distributions of resources. Edgeworth made his presentation in his famous book, Mathematical Psychics: An essay on the application of mathematics to the moral sciences, 1881. Edgeworth's original two axis depiction was developed into the now familiar box diagram by Pareto in 1906 and was popularized in a later exposition by Bowley. The modern version of the diagram is commonly referred to as the Edgeworth-Bowley box.

The Edgeworth box is used frequently in general equilibrium theory, and can aid in finding the competitive equilibrium of a simple system."

Wow....ya learn something new every day, I guess.

And that's not all! Edgeworth is so much more than that. You see, he's also a town along the Ohio river--Edgeworth, Pennsyvania, which has the small population of 1,739 as of a census done in 2000. There's a Wikipedia entry for that, too: [link]

And HERE is a website solely dedicated to real-life Edgeworths, created because the website's owner is grateful that their home town is called 'Edgeworth' because of these people: [link]

According to the 'Trivia' section of the above site, "Apparently there is also an Edgeworth tobacco...and it had its famous admirers.

Edgeworth was the favorite tobacco of Joseph Stalin. He preferred this cheap American pipe tobacco to any other..."

Hmmm.

Well, now you know more about the name 'Edgeworth' than you did when you started reading this journal. Provided, of course, that you've bothered to read down this far...LOL
